Ozark Hills Insulation, Inc. was started in 1977 by Bob Sechrest, Jr. and his wife, Mary. In the beginning, Bob started with just $5,000 he had saved up, a truck, and a dream. It started as a part-time income supplement to both Bob and Mary's teaching salaries. After a rough start-up in the first couple of years, more and more business began coming in, so Bob went with it full time. In 1989, Ozark Hills Insulation, Inc. purchased a second business and created two divisions of operation. The two businesses became known as Ozark's Modern Insulation and Leadbelt Buck Stove. The two businesses went on and by the year 2000, when Bob died, was the employer of ten to fifteen employees, at any given time. The business was then held together by Mary, long-time employees Jane Cross and Joe Knowles, the experienced installers and General Manager, Brian Wagner.

As of January 1, 2007, the company went under new ownership with Lance Sechrest and Brian and Jill Wagner. The company was renamed to Sechrest/Wagner, Inc., doing business as Ozark's Modern Insulation and Leadbelt Stove and Fireplace.
